Les Gîtes de Sarah et Claude
A story of family & travel
Sarah, I’m English, my husband, Claude, is French. We have four children, one dog, four cats, and two ponies. We arrived by chance in the Bugey in 2004 and renovated our house ” La Forge du Perou”.
In 2016 we began our gite aventure when we opened the gite de la Forge, we enjoyed this first year so much that we opened new gites in 2017,2018 and 2019.
We love sharing the secret treasures of the Bugey with our guests. Aware of the ecological impact tourism can have we encourage every one to use local producers, to favour selectif waste sorting, and use the designated compost areas.
In the medium term we wish to switch all of our gites to renewable energy in order to contribute to the preservation of this exceptional site that is the Bugey.
